How Can a Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck be Treated?

I have had a cold/sinus for the past week. But I have notice that my glands as swollen on the left side, and I feel like there is a lump in my throat when I swallow. I have an under active thyroid, and take medication for it. Do you think there may be a problem with my thyroid gland or just from the cold?
